What’s coming up in 2017
Service Sundays: At various points throughout the year we explore participation in worship and in service within a pattern of Sundays which include alternative activities in worship. We study and discuss Scripture. Using music, song and participation we engage with both new and traditional expression of what it means to have today. What is the church? How do we discern God’s purpose for our Common Life? We also set aside times for prayer and quiet.
The next Service Sunday will be during Lent- don’t miss out! Come and participate in this exercise as we think about how we can put faith into action through service!
Study Seasons: In house groups and at times in the church buildings we meet for study. Particular topics often relate to the season of the Christian Year, such as at Advent and during the weeks of Lent.
The next series of Bible Study begins on Wednesday 1st March at 18:15 with supper in the Fellowship Centre. This is a Lent study course based around the film “The Theory of Everything” and using material from “The Mystery of Everything” by Hilary Brand.
Snow Sunday 26th February: Meet in the parish church, Les Mosses at 9h00 for a short communion service and then enjoy skiing, snow shoeing or other snow activities until coming together for a fondue lunch in a local restaurant. Interested in joining in the fun? To sign up for lunch contact us by email!
Church Weekend at Crêt Bérard: 27 & 28 May 2017
This year our guest facilitator will be the Rev Jonathan Fleming, minister at Erskine Parish church, Erskine, Scotland.
Church weekend helps us build community and strengthens fellowship. Each programme at Crêt Bérard prepares us for the year ahead, feeding into life of the whole congregation- and this year we will be thinking about the ways in which we can serve the community around us.
