Finding the Kirk

Identify stations, stops, and garages by clicking on them. Zoom in and out with the “+” and “-” buttons or leave this page and view it in Google Maps.

By bus: Avenue de Rumine is on bus lines 9 and 12, arrêt (stop) Eglantine. The church is also less than five minutes’ walk from the Georgette stops which are served by several other lines. For timetables visit http://www.t-l.ch or click on the bus stops in the map above.

By underground: The nearest Metro station to the Scots Kirk is called Flon, which is a 15 minute straight and level walk to the church, passing Place St. François and the Lausanne Opera. Lausanne-Flon is the terminus of the M1 line, coming from UNIL, EPFL, and Renens, and an intermediate stop on the M2 line, thus making it a direct trip from any Lausanne Metro station.

By train: The Kirk is a 15 minute uphill walk from the main railway station. Turn right when you emerge from the station, proceed up the hill as far as you can go, following the traffic signs to Vevey and turn right on to av. de Rumine. For more schedules visit: http://www.sbb.ch. If you have a smartphone, the free SBB Mobile App will generate iteraries from any public transit stop in Switzerland to Gare, Flon, Georgette, or Eglantine.

By car: There is street parking on some of the side streets south of av. de Rumine, however this can be difficult even on a Sunday. Make alternatively for the Bellefontaine covered parking on the rue de Belle-Fontaine. There is one disabled parking space at the front door of the church.
